From July 6th to mid-September 2026,
This is a period for group use with designated entry times to the mountain.

Furthermore, in order to ensure the continued use of the marshland hiking trail and to conserve the natural environment in the Daisetsuzan Mountains, including the Kogen Onsen area, we request that you pay a cooperation fee upon entering the mountain.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Lectures will be held three times a day (8:00, 9:00, and 11:00), and patrol officers and users will enter the mountain and act together.
You will be required to attend a lecture and enter the mountain area together with patrol officers and other users.
There is a limit to the number of people allowed to enter the mountain at one time, so advance registration is required. (Registration may close early if there are too many applicants.)

How to use the Marshland Hiking Course

Daisetsuzan is a habitat for brown bears. Among them, many brown bears inhabit the highland hot springs and swamp tour course.

It is one of the rare environments in Mt. Daisetsu where you can see brown bears on distant slopes every day for about a month from mid July.

In order for people to enter such a place, the user understands the brown bear,

It is required to maintain a relationship with the brown bear.

In this swamp tour course, in order to avoid conflicts between brown bears and people, patrols always observe the course,

We provide guidance to keep a distance from brown bears.

I would like to make efforts so that this ecosystem where brown bears live can continue for 50 or 100 years.

Thank you for your cooperation.
